Useful Links and Information
The bellydance community in the UK is huge and this ancient artform is enjoyed by thousands of women around the country. Due to the huge demand, there is always something happening. Arabic parties known as 'hafla's' take place nearly every weekend up and down the country so there is never a shortage of events to attend. There are occasionally events in Shropshire and regular events take place around the county, hosted by different teachers.
A good, supportive teacher will encourage their students to go and learn from other teachers and dancers. It allows a student to see for themselves, the different dancing styles of bellydancing and to experience different teaching and peformance styles.
There is no shortage of great teachers and great events in the UK. For local teachers, please contact me directly and I will be able to recommend teachers depending on what styles you wish to learn and when you are free. Below are a few other links to people and events which I can highly recommend:
Jewel of Yorkshire - An annual bellydance event held in the beautiful town of Saltaire, Bradford. UK and International teachers come together for a weekend of workshops, dancing and fun.
